At the end of the year at maryville high school, the physics class, taught by matt stoecklein, is tasked with building various cardboard boats.. Im doing a cardboard boat project for my physics class...it has to make 20 laps across a pool. our teacher is dumb and says we can only use cardboard and one roll of masking tape...no pantoons.. My aim in the project is to find out the distance traveled by a boat in a particular period of time when a) there is a change in diameter of the propellers and b) there is a change in the number of wings of the propellers..
Styrofoam boat class project? i need to build a styrofoam boat for my physics class. we will be racing them in our school pool. the boat is to be made of styrofoam and duck tape only and must hold 2 people. so this boat has to be fast. also you have. Building a boat for science class can be used to illustrate the ideas of displacement and propulsion. displacement is what makes a boat float. to float, the weight of the boat in the water (and the air in the boat) has to weigh the same as the water it pushes out of the way.. Yes, physics will help you determine what makes one hula hoop a winner and another a flop. in this project, you will create your own hula hoops, spin them, and draw conclusions. the road will then be open to your becoming a hula hoop expert..
